Thesis

Throughout the book, there was never a main thesis Ronald explicitly stated, but there was one main theme of the book that I took away from after reading.  Ronald mainly argues for awareness of his readers.  Awareness of what we are using in the sense of technology or social media.  Awareness of what our government is doing in regards to monitoring their citizens for possible national security threats.  Lastly, awareness of what governments and organizations are doing internationally in attempt to control cyberspace within their jurisdiction.  Without even realizing it, we may have lost important human rights through our use of the Internet and Ronald hopes he can try to make his readers more aware of what is going on within the governmental communities as they try to obtain more control on the ever-expanding cyber world.
